In 2016, based on the valuable experience and specialized insurance expertise of Europa RE, the SEEC CRIF Program was expanded to Central Asia, in Kazakhstan under the name of Southeast Europe and Central Asia Catastrophe Insurance Facility (SEECA CRIF).
The SEECA CRIF program aimed to provide specialized technical support to the government of Kazakhstan and the local insurance market in addressing the adverse effects of climate change on the national economy through the development of an advanced insurance market infrastructure that will support mass sales of compulsory and non-compulsory catastrophe insurance products by local insurance companies.
During 3 years of a successful implementation, at is closing day on December 31, 2019 Europa Re achieved the main planned outcomes:

- developed a modern web-based insurance production and claims settlement platform for local insurance program partners;
- developed affordable innovative catastrophe insurance products for local farmers exposed to weather-related risks;
- increased public awareness and supported consumer education on disaster insurance through the launch of CATMonitor platform;
- provided professional training of insurance agents and insurance loss adjusters.
